We are on a mission to foster relationships and a sense of belonging for homeschoolers through creative, collaborative challenges and play.
Community
Co-op meets twice per week from September-May. Consistency and familiarity help kids feel free to be themselves. More details.
21st Century Skills
All of our sessions provide opportunities to practice communication, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
Growth
When kids are allowed to solve problems for themselves, they become problem solvers! The adults in this group are there to facilitate, not teach explicit lessons.
Grow their creative confidence
At this co-op, there are no right answers. Through small-group collaboration or contributions to a whole-group art experience, your child will be allowed to create without fear. There are no assessments, judgments, or evaluations. There may be failure, which we appreciate as part of the creative process. We reflect as a whole group after each session to talk about our experiences.
Problems we can work on together
The projects and activities we work on at co-op will be 1) fun and 2) group-based work. Children will be divided into small groups and presented with a challenge. Without major help from the adult facilitators, each group will come up with a unique response to the challenge and have an opportunity to share their work with the other groups. Different small groups will be formed each session, allowing kids to work with everyone over time.
